Meet Rachel

Rachel´s endless curiosity and thirst for adventure led her all over the world - to Europe and Southeast Asia, from the remote beaches of Bali and Australia to Greece and Mexico. Her life has been enriched by her travels and those experiences have shaped her unique approach to design.

Rachel works with a wide range of clients and scopes. She is passionate about creating unique, beautiful interiors that reflect her client’s lifestyles. She has a fine eye for details and pays close attention to her client´s needs as well as the architectural integrity of the home. Leadership and mentoring have become an integral part of her design career, and the growth of her team is crucial to her continued success.

Rachel is a true California native. After spending many years between Northern and Southern California—she landed in Santa Barbara in 2014. Currently Rachel splits her time between Santa Barbara and Sayulita, Mexico. Rachel earned her BA in Interior Design from Cal State University, Chico, and holds a minor in Spanish from El Universidad del Pais Vasco in San Sebastian, Spain.

Rachel has been in the design industry for over 20 years. Before launching RWI, Rachel held senior design, leadership, and sales roles in the design industry at high-end retailers. These experiences helped develop her keen awareness for customer service and project management.

In addition to her client work, Rachel is a freelance designer for Jessica Risko Smith Interior Design. Most recently Rachel worked with Jessica on her Upper East, Islay and Hidden Hills projects.
